St. Baldrick's Charity Event

Attending: 0The Naval Lodge Hall, 330 Pennsylvania Avenue, S.E., Washington, DC 20003
March 18, 2017 11:30AM

Naval Lodge No. 4 challenges you to participate in the St. Baldrick's Event hosted by the Naval Lodge for 2017 on March 18th, from 11:30am to 4:00pm.  Volunteers will shave their heads in solidarity with children who typically lose their hair during treatment, and we challenge YOU to join us in making a “bald” statement at the Naval Lodge (330 Pennsylvania Ave SE).

While not an easy thing to do, it’s important these children understand they’re not alone in their efforts.  Together, our message will be more profound and the task before us easier to accomplish.

If shaving isn’t for you, consider volunteering. Extra hands are always appreciated. Plus, this way I know you’ll be there in person to watch other brethren shave their heads! We are planning many fun events for the adults and children. We will be serving lunch and refreshments, as well as organizing games and raffles. After the shaving, we will adjourn to a nearby venue for further fellowship.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
