May 16, 2019 6:30PM

On Thursday, May 16th, Naval Lodge will be conducting a regular communication meeting, which will open promptly at 7:30 p.m. At this communication Mr. Aaron Marrs, a Scouting Unit Commissioner on Capitol Hill, will be giving a presentation about Scouting in DC, and allow some of our member to reflect on their own experiences in Scouting during a panel discussion. This portion of the meeting will be open to non-Masons. Since 1994, Capitol Hill Scouts has been pursuing the mission of the Boy Scouts of America: "to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.” Capitol Hill Scouts has had a great partnership with Naval Lodge No. 4, which has provided a wonderful meeting space for our units.

Additionally, RWB Michael Nicholas will be giving a short presentation on "Guarding the West Gate," the new background investigation software available for the Lodge to use for petitioners, which will be closed to Masons only. After his presentation, we will be conducting a vote on using the software in our investigation process.

Everyone is invited to join us for dinner from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Please RSVP by Tuesday, May 14th, so that we can plan accordingly for dinner.
