I regret to inform you of the passing of Brother Dorsey John Gibbons Gregan to the great celestial lodge on 1/15/2022 at the age of 98.  

Brother Gregan was a member Naval Lodge for over 65 years and a decorated WWII veteran earning two Silver Stars and a Bronze Star as an combat infantry medic in the Ardennes Forrest. Afterwards he worked for the Naval Research Laboratory for 36 years where he developed the hydrophone and strain sensor to find the thresher submarine, for which he was granted 2 submarine sonar patents and a Presidential Citation as a civilian. 

Naval Lodge in coordination with Freedom Military Lodge #1775 will be conferring funeral rights for Bro. Gregan graveside at 1:00pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Fairfax Memorial Park 9900 Braddock Rd Fairfax, VA 22032. The family has also indicated all are welcome to attend the funeral as well starting at 11:00am at
Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA 22302. Given Bro. Gregan's extraordinary service to our country and this lodge, I would like to have a significant presence from the Naval at the Masonic Rites. Please let us know if you would like to assist in the Masonic funeral rights.
